This particular turntable was designed in-house for a seating
company, to assist in the manufacture of arm rests. This
turntable is a hold-to-run operation and can be operated
in either direction
The
turntable was integrated within an existing extraction /
heating canopy but this can also be supplied upon request.
A full
risk assessment and FMEA was completed during the design
and manufacture to ensure compliance with European regulations
and create a reliable machine.
 The
motor gearbox has an integrated inverter, which virtually
eliminates EMC emissions and reduces the overall control
panel size. The inverter has been set up ramp the rotational
speed up and down to prevent any sudden movements and also
increase the life of the motor gearbox
Both
the mechanical and electrical designs were completed in-house
to the customer’s specification. The company provided
a list of preferred suppliers for major components and specific
dimensions required. Upon completion of various stages of
the design, approval was given by the customer prior to
manufacture commencing.
The
project was completed to the customer’s satisfaction
and now requires a second one complete with an extraction
/ heating canopy. |
